Michael is an Aero CFD Design Lead who currently resides in Concord, NC.
Michael manages a team of design engineers that supports the aerodynamic R&D efforts of a major OEM in the NASCAR Cup Series. The team's efforts have helped yield back-to-back NASCAR Cup Series Championships (2022 and 2023) with a shot at a three-peat.
Originally from Maui, Hawai‘i, Michael graduated from UNC Charlotte in 2015 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Motorsports. He worked as a Design Engineer for four years in product development before returning to his passion to work full-time in motorsports. Whether he’s designing concepts in CAD, overseeing prototype testing in the wind tunnel, or analyzing live data trackside, Michael has a singular purpose in his career — #makespeed.
When he’s not working on cars, Michael loves to travel with his wife and three boys while documenting their trips through digital photography and video. During his free time at home, he tackles home improvement projects and design projects such as the loft for his twins’ bedroom, above.
